I am Mahyar

I am the person behind Lumen Compass!

Why I do this work

There was a time when everything looked stable from the outside, but internally things felt unclear, heavy, and disconnected.

I know what it feels like to function well on paper while questioning direction, meaning, or next steps beneath the surface.

Coaching was not something I found through theory. It was something I experienced. Through that process I realised that the answers were never missing. They were simply not visible yet.

This is the work I do today.

I do not give advice or predefined solutions. I create a space where you can think clearly, reconnect with yourself, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.

How coaching with me works

1 . Intro call

A first conversation to understand your situation, your expectations, and whether coaching with me feels like the right fit.

2 . Tailored approach

Based on your topic, you receive a suggested structure and direction for the coaching process.

3 . Coaching sessions

We work together with focus, reflection, and clarity to help you move forward in a way that fits you.

Unlock Your Inner Compass

Clarity does not come from outside!
It is something you uncover within yourself. When you pause and truly listen, your direction becomes clearer. With intention and effort, you begin to move forward with purpose and confidence.

The Answers Are Already Within You

You carry more insight than you think!
Every question you ask points toward something you already know, even if it is not fully visible yet. By creating space to reflect and explore, these answers begin to surface.

Step Into Your Own Potential

Growth is not about becoming someone else.
It is about fully stepping into who you already are. Your potential expands when you actively engage with it, rather than waiting for certainty.

  • Moving through conflict with awareness

Conflict at work is often avoided, delayed, or softened to the point where nothing is really said. On the surface, everything stays polite and professional, but underneath there is tension, frustration, or misunderstanding that does not disappear on its own. Most conflicts do not start with a big disagreement. They begin with small moments that…

  • Burnout does not arrive loudly

Burnout does not arrive loudly. It starts quietly, almost unnoticed. In the beginning, it rarely looks like something serious. It might feel like a few heavier mornings, a bit less motivation than usual, or a constant sense of tiredness that you cannot fully explain. You notice it, but you tell yourself it is just a…

  • From Family Therapy to Coaching

Modern coaching did not begin in boardrooms or performance culture. Its roots lie in systemic family therapy, where the focus shifted from what is wrong within a person to how patterns, relationships, and context shape behaviour. In the 1970s and 1980s, therapists such as Milton Erickson, Virginia Satir, and Paul Watzlawick began to challenge traditional…

A career transition

I was at a very difficult point in my career, feeling completely stuck and overwhelmed. My thoughts were tangled, and I couldn’t find the right path forward. Working with Mahyar changed everything for me. Through our coaching sessions, step by step, we brought clarity to my situation. We put everything on paper, organized my thoughts, and gradually turned my confusion into a clear direction. This process helped me make much better decisions. Not only was I able to leave my previous job—which was very hard for me—but I also received great support throughout my job search and eventually found a good new position. Mahyar is a truly professional coach. After each session, I felt calmer, more confident, and more certain about the steps I was taking. I’m very grateful for his support and guidance, and I highly recommend him to anyone who feels lost or is going through a career transition.
